Alger Heights, a tiny Grand Rapids neighborhood. Alger Heights is the city’s only neighborhood established between the Great Depression and World War II, and its perseverance and expansion can still be seen along its tree-lined streets. Alger Heights is a highly sought-after neighborhood with popular local businesses and a strong feeling of community. Alger Heights, located in Southeast Grand Rapids, is a close-knit neighborhood that welcomes people of all ages. Alger Heights is an “up and coming” neighborhood in Grand Rapids that is located in an ideal location for city life. Despite its small size, the neighborhood is home to a diverse range of local businesses, historic houses, a walkable community, good schools, and a variety of special events, such as the Halloween 5k Run and neighborhood get-togethers such as movie nights. At the Grand Rapids Public Library-Seymour Branch, you may borrow a book or get some work done. At the Indian Trails Golf Course, take a few strokes on the driving range, play a game with your friends, or join a nightly golf league. Cheseboro Park, MacKay-Jaycee Park, Paris Park, and Seymour Park are just a few of the parks in Alger Heights. The Plaster Creek Trail, which winds through the whole neighborhood and finally empties into the Grand River, is ideal for a tree-lined, shade-covered trek or bike ride.
